Calgary Stampede ride breaks, 10 injured
Ten teens were hurt, with six taken to hospital, Friday evening when a ride on the Calgary Stampede midway broke, sending its passengers crashing to the ground before a throng of horrified fairgoers. It was just before 9 p.m., and the midway was in full swing when something suddenly went wrong on the Scorpion, a ride that spins pods of cars in a circle, lifting them up and down as it rotates.
